Southern Hills Health & Rehabilitation Center was founded in Middleburg Heights in the mid-1990s. The facility was purchased in November 2006 by Alan Vrable and has become one of Ohio-based Vrable Healthcare's premier properties. We met recently with Administrator Mike Milbrandt and Admissions Coordinator Danielle Mayerski, and listened as they provided this overview of the center's offerings;

Southern Hills Health & Rehabilitation Center is a one hundred bed skilled nursing facility offering a wide variety of services. We provide comprehensive postacute care with physician directed medical, physical, and pulmonary rehabilitation services, in addition to 24-hour nursing care, physical, occupational, and speech therapy, respiratory therapy, ventilator care, IV therapy, parenteral/enteral therapy, skilled care, long-term care, respite care, and hospice services. We pride ourselves on the high quality of care we deliver, and our services are available on a needs-based basis, regardless of age, race, or creed.

Our amenities include a fine dining program, beauty and barber services, transportation, laundry services, beautiful family rooms, cable and telephone options, private and semi-private rooms, enclosed patio, and scheduled entertainment and outings. In addition to the residents attending physicians, our facility offers other medical services to augment our residents' care, including dental, optometry, podiatry, psychology, and psychiatric care.
