Several years ago, Tracy Cowley became intrigued by how uplifting and inspirational a massage could be to a healthy individual as well as one suffering from health challenges. After receiving numerous massages herself, Tracy decided to become a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) so she could help introduce others to the healing benefits the gift of the human touch can provide. In 2006, Tracy and her husband, Chuck, founded Renew Wellness Center on Pearl Road in Middleburg Heights. We met with Tracy and Chuck recently, and listened as they described Renew Wellness Center's mission and the services they provide;
Renew Wellness Center is a holistic health center dedicated to offering a wealth of opportunities for health building in a safe, supportive environment. Through a combination of massage, yoga, meditation, diet, exercise, and the addition of herbs and scents, we believe each client will attain a positive lifestyle change. You will find there is something for everyone at Renew Wellness Center, and will delight in the benefits of taking a more active role in your own health care.
We offer several different types of massage therapy, including general massage, deep tissue massage, and rain drop therapy. Hot basalt stones can be added to any massage, as can a variety of essential oils and creams. We offer wellness classes and workshops covering areas as diverse as Yoga, Zumba, Tai-Chi, and belly dancing. Our workshop topics range from Stress Management/Meditation to Basic Health, Introduction to Herbology, and Aromatherapy. Private wellness consultations to introduce people to our services and help them find a starting point in their journey to health. We also have space available for rent to anyone with a desire to teach classes or workshops designed to introduce people to new ways to expand their horizons and experience personal growth.
Not only am I a Licensed Massage Therapist, but I also hold a Master's Degree in Holistic Health Theology and am currently studying for my Ph.D. I have pursued additional education in an effort to gain a deeper understanding of alternative healing and to help create a more complete center for the clients we serve. Rather than simply running a business, I strive to become very involved with helping our clients meet as many of their health care needs as possible.
As human beings, we often place our own needs last, believing in some way that we are being selfless by taking care of everyone around us while we slowly deteriorate. While this may seem noble at first, a second look shows that we must properly take care of ourselves physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually in order to have something worthwhile to give to others. We can only give 100% if we have 100% to give, so it is only by replenishing our energy and peace of mind while reducing our stress levels that we are able to live other aspects of our lives to their full potential.
Our goal is to expose as many people as possible to the benefits of therapeutic massage. In addition to offering low everyday prices, we frequently provide our clients with additional incentives to visit our center and become involved in their own health care. Currently we are holding a promotion where clients receive a discount on any general or deep tissue massage with their donation of two non-perishable food items. This offer is valid each and every time our clients have an appointment and has proven to be a great way to encourage people to help themselves at the same time they are helping others. This has been a very popular program that adds to the inspirational experience we seek for every client.
We are incredibly passionate about everything we do at our center. We truly believe that every person who walks through our door will leave feeling better about themselves and those around them.
Renew Wellness Center focuses on the interactive client who participates in their own preventative health care maintenance and those wanting to begin the journey of living at a higher vibration.
